DESCRIPTION:Troy Fire Station? \nVolunteers Needed? \nYES! \nTalk with Town Chair Doug Rowen and Hudson Fire Chief Drew Spielman to get all the answers! \nOn July 15th\, at 6pm at the Town Hall\, 654 Glover Road\, Town Chair Doug Rowen and Hudson Fire Chief Drew Spielman will host an all Town meeting to discuss the first Town of Troy fire station and the need for paid on-call volunteers to improve the fire service to the residents of the Town. \nWorking with the City of Hudson\, the Town is planning on constructing a new fire substation\, centrally located in the Town.  With a planned opening in December of 2026\, the station will decrease drive time of fire trucks to most of the homes in Troy. \nTown Chairman Doug Rowen explained “The town is served by two great fire departments – however current stations are more than 10 miles away from the majority of residents.  The new building will reduce the distance for most residents to less than five miles away” He further stated\, “This project will enhance fire protection of residents and buildings”. \nKey to the operation of this Fire Substation will be the recruitment of volunteers. Hudson Fire Chief Drew Spielman said “We need at least eight volunteers that live or work in Troy to make the building functional as a fire substation. \nIn addition to serving Town residents\, the substation will expand the ability of the Hudson Fire Department to serve all district homes and businesses.
