Town Administrator

The Town of Troy is seeking an experienced and innovative leader with a passion for public service to serve as its next Town Administrator. The Town Administrator serves as the chief administrative officer and manages the day-to-day operations, implements Town Board policies, administers Town services, leads zoning administration activities, and coordinates with other agencies and units of government.

Minimum Training and Experience:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration or related field. A minimum of three years of progressively responsible administrative and leadership experience in a municipal organization is also required. Candidates with private sector or military experience will be considered if accomplishments are related to required skills.

 Pay Range:

Salary range is $85,000-$105,000 DOQ.

Part Time Deputy Clerk/Treasurer

The Town of Troy is seeking a part-time Deputy to the Clerk/Treasurer. This position assists and supports the Clerk/Treasurer. These duties can include assisting the Clerk/Treasurer with the maintenance of official documents, records, researching and preparing various reports and meetings. This position greets the town constituents, assists in requests, clerical tasks, and provides administrative support.

Minimum Training and Experience:

At least two (2) years of prior experience in administrative work or equivalent experience. Prior Municipal or Government Experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and/or WorkHorse.

Special Requirements:

Must be willing to work additional hours as needed including evenings. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Must be a certified notary public or have the ability to obtain the certification.

Pay Range:

$20.50 – $23.75

Hours of Work: 

Monday – Thursday

9 am – 2 pm

Part Time Waste/Disposal Center Operator

The Town of Troy is seeking a responsible and dependable part time Waste/Disposal Center Operator. This person would be responsible for operating and maintaining the town’s disposal center. Employees will be handling money. Town residency is not required. A background check will be performed.

Hours will be approximately 15 hours per 2-week pay period depending on shift rotations. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:45pm to 5:45pm and Saturdays from 7:45am to 12:45pm in all weather conditions.
