Replacement of Signage at Town Hall, Public Works Department, and Town Disposal Center

Introduction

The Town of Troy, Wisconsin, is seeking proposals from qualified contractors for the design, fabrication, and installation of new signage at the Town Hall, Public Works Department, and Town Disposal Center. The purpose of this project is to enhance visibility and improve the aesthetic appeal of these facilities.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Site Assessment:
    • Conduct an assessment of the existing signage at the Town Hall and recommend changes.   
    • Identify optimal locations for new signage for the Public Works Department and Town Disposal Center.
  2. Design:
    • Develop design options for new signage, including dimensions, materials, and color schemes.
    • Incorporate the Town of Troy’s logo and advise on potential branding changes.
    • Ensure designs are compliant with the Town’s Zoning Code.
  3. Fabrication:
    • Fabricate signage based on the approved design specifications.
    • Use durable, weather-resistant materials suitable for outdoor use.
  4. Installation:
    • Remove existing signage.
    • Install new signage at the designated locations.
    • Ensure all installations are secure, level, are properly anchored, and comply with all relevant building codes.
  5. Cleanup and Disposal:
    • Properly dispose of old signage and any debris generated during the project.
    • Leave all work areas clean and in good condition.

Proposal Requirements

Proposals should include the following information:

  1. Company Information:
    • Company name, address, phone number, and email address.
    • Brief company history and relevant experience.
  2. Project Team:
    • Names and roles of key team members who will be involved in the project.
    • Resumes or brief biographies highlighting relevant experience.
  3. Design Concepts:
    • Preliminary design concepts for the new signage.
    • Materials and specifications.
  4. Project Timeline:
    • Proposed timeline for the completion of the project.
  5. Cost Estimate:
    • Detailed cost estimate, including design, fabrication, installation, and any additional costs.
  6. References:
    • Contact information from firms or individuals who have had similar projects.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Experience and Qualifications:
    • Overall experience with similar signage projects.
    • Qualifications of the project team.
  • Design Quality:
    • Aesthetic appeal and functionality of the proposed designs.
  • Cost:
    • Amount and transparency of the proposed costs.
  • Timeline:
    • Ability to complete the project within the proposed timeline.
