COULEE TRAIL UPDATE: Temporary Closure at Prominence Way Planned for Monday, June 30

As part of the ongoing Coulee Trail rehabilitation project, Coulee Trail will be closed to through traffic at Prominence Way on Monday, June 30 to allow for grading and base reconstruction work.

Access Plan for Prominence Way:

Morning (June 30): Access to and from Prominence Way will be available from Coulee Trail to the west (access to/from Old Highway 35).

Afternoon (June 30): Once work progresses through the intersection, access will switch to the eastern portion of Coulee Trail (access to/from County Road U).

By the end of the workday, the area is planned to be restored to a gravel driving surface, allowing for regular construction traffic to resume.

Reminder: Coulee Trail Rehabilitation Project

The full project extends from Forest Rise to County Road U and is expected to continue through mid-August, weather permitting.

Work includes roadway removal, reconstruction, and resurfacing. While local access is being maintained, certain phases—like this one—require temporary closures of specific segments.

What to Expect During Construction:

  • Traffic Disruptions: Short-term closures, lane restrictions, and delays should be expected.
  • Driveway & Mailbox Access: Maintained to the extent possible; brief interruptions may occur.
  • Contractor Coordination: The contractor will make every effort to communicate planned disruptions to affected properties in advance.
  • General Disruption: Residents should anticipate construction noise, dust, and visible activity in the work zone.

We appreciate your continued patience and cooperation as we work to complete this necessary road improvement.
