Authorization for the Town Board to move forward with the new Fire Substation building was approved on 9-29-2025 at the Electors Meeting. With a a vote of 74 -19 (with one abstention) the standing room only crowd listened to Town Supervisor Ray Knapp and Town Board Chair Doug Rowen present the proposed resolution.
During the discussion period, many questions were asked about finances, cost of the construction, operations, and why do we need to do this now. Hudson Fire Chief Drew Spielman was in attendence answering questions, as was Town Clerk/Treasurer April Fredrick and Administrator David Carlson.
With the approval of the Electors, the Town will be entering into a contract with SEH for the design of the project.
