Happy Birthday Town of Troy!

On November 14th, 1856, the St. Croix County Board voted to create the boundaries of the Town of Troy by combining the remaining portion of Town of Kinnickinnic (eastern 40% of Troy) and the sourthern portion of the Town of Hudson (Western 60% of Troy to the St. Croix River). The new Town boundary was named the Town of Kinnickinnic. It was renamed Town of Troy in 1857. The neighboring Town of Malone (Formerly named Dayton) was later renamed Kinnikinnic in 1864.
