Town of Troy awarded $1.9 Million funding from WIS DOT for Reconstruction and Upgrade of Mann Valley Drive.: Town of Troy awarded $1.9 Million funding from WIS DOT for Reconstruction and Upgrade of Mann Valley Drive. On October 21, 2026, the Wisconsin DOT announced the approval of reimbursement funding for reconstruction and upgrade of Mann Valley Drive of up to $1,887,876.90 (89%) of the estimated project cost as part of the Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP). The project will include reconstruction and upgrade of Mann Valley Drive (from County Rd F to County Rd U) to allow for year-round use without the need for seasonal weight restrictions during the spring thaw. Engineering for the project is expected to be completed during 2027, with construction in 2028. Mann Valley Drive is a critical transportation route for the highly productive farmland in the Mann Valley and beyond. This reimbursement award will enable the road upgrade without the need to increase Town property taxes for Troy residents or farmers. This commitment by the State of Wisconsin underscores the ongoing importance of agriculture in the Town of Troy, as well as our farmland preservation practices and decades of planning and zoning efforts to protect our agricultural capacity from urban development, not just for the short term, but for the long term future of the community. I would like to express thanks to the farmers, residents, Rob Jones (Cedar Corp.), Supervisor Lowell Enerson, and Town Staff for championing and contributing to this multi-year ARIP application process.
