The Troy Town Board and Hudson City Council have agreed to continue working on a Cooperative Boundary Plan and start a process of public input, including holding a Public Hearing.

Goals of the proposed plan include:

• Improve preservation of Troy’s Rural Character and Agriculture
• Restore and protect property owner rights
• Enable market driven development (commercial and residential)
• Allow the City of Hudson to expand into areas of Troy (selected by the Town) not currently accessible through the statutory annexation processes
• Establish collaborative planning and joint decision making frameworks for the future

The proposed plan will be discussed at a series of informational meetings, including “Coffee with Chairperson” meetings, all before the Public Hearing occurs on October 13, 2026- 6 PM  at the Hudson Fire Department, 2121 Ward Ave. Hudson, WI 54016

The Fire Station is coming along nicely. Everything is on time and going smoothly. Roof is on, walls are up, a high-capacity well is currently being drilled. (October 2026).

We anticipate the majority of the outdoor work to be completed before the end of the year.

This project has been approved by the electors on April 21st 2026.

The Town Board approved design engineering by SEH to be completed. The Town will be ready to go to bid sometime in the beginning of 2027.

The Disposal Center relocation project is now complete! It's fully operational and double the size.

The hours or staffing have not changed.

New Update: October 2026

The project has finished substantial completion. The Town Board is working with the Town Engineer and Contractor to finalize this project.

Preliminary Assessment Report

The Town has formally accepted Total Excavating, Inc. as the contractor to perform this project in late summer of 2026.

There will be road reconstruction, curb & gutter replacement, & driveway repair.
