Postponed – Special Joint Meeting/Hearing Town of Troy – City of Hudson – Boundary Agreement

July 14@6:00 pm-7:00 pm

NOTICE OF POSTPONEMENT
The Joint Public Hearing scheduled for July 14, 2026, between the City of Hudson’s Common
Council and the Town of Troy’s Board of Supervisors is postponed and will be rescheduled to a later
date. When the new meeting date is established, the Public Hearing will be posted and published in
accordance with law

The joint public hearing will be held on July 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Hudson Fire Department, 2121 Ward Ave., Hudson, WI 54016.

The purpose of the hearing is to accept testimony on an agreement that establishes a long-term cooperative boundary plan to guide coordinated, compact, and efficient development between the City and the Town, including identifying a Commercial Development Zone (CDZ) generally along the State Trunk Highway 35 corridor within the Town where owner-initiated attachments to the City may occur subject to agreed development standards and City services.   The plan provides that the City may attach CDZ and utility corridor parcels upon voluntary owner petition, with Town non-objection if plan standards are met, and requires City-level infrastructure and services for attached territory.   The plan also provides for jointly agreed zoning and farmland preservation requirements for parcels annexed or attached to the City of Hudson, and subdivision and annexation limitations.

The planning period is ninety-nine years from the effective date of the Agreement, after which remaining CDZ and utility corridor parcels will be attached to the City and the future boundary line will become permanent.
