OFFICIAL NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
DISPOSAL CENTER CONSTRUCTION – 654 GLOVER ROAD
TOWN OF TROY, WISCONSIN
The Town Board, Town of Troy, St. Croix County, Wisconsin, will receive sealed bids for the construction of the following items up until 10 AM CDST, Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Troy Town Hall, 654 Glover Road, Hudson, WI 54016, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The Town will accept bids for each of the major items. Bidders may bid on one, two, or all three of the major bid items.
MAJOR BID ITEMS
- Supply and install a 200-amp electrical panel. Wire the disposal center building with 110-volt. Wire the two (two) compactor motors with 220-volt service, then wire the controllers on the compactors with 110-volt. Install approximately 800 linear feet of 8 AWG wire in conduit, connecting to 8 light poles (poles to be provided and installed by Town).
- Form and pour two (2) 18×30 aprons, 6” thick, with #4 rebar installed in a 2’x2’ grid, broom finished. Form and pour one 18’x30’ floating slab in between the two aprons. Note – Base will be installed and compacted by Town staff.
- A 16×30 Pole Building with an eave height of 12’. Posts will be 6×6 treated lumber, installed 4’ under finished surface, spaced 8’ apart with trusses 4’ apart. 2’”x6” Headers will be placed on top of the trusses, with 2”x4” purlins spaced 24” on center to support steel roofing. Roof will be steel roofing.
TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. The Town desires to complete construction of this building no later than end July 30, 2026, with exterior wiring for lighting completed no later than August 31, 2026.
Bidding Documents are on file with the Town Clerk, Town of Troy, Wisconsin. Bidding Documents are available in person at Town Hall between the hours of 9am to 2pm, Monday through Thursday, or via email ([email protected]) from the Town Clerk. There is no charge for documents. The Town is not requiring a bid bond for this project.
The bidder will execute and file the proposed contract and bonds within ten (10) days after the award of the contract or the contract may be awarded to the next responsible bidder.

Bidders are to fill out Bidder’s Qualification forms furnished with the Bidding Documents. Forms are to be submitted separately from bids for review at bid opening.
The Town of Troy, Wisconsin, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept the bid most advantageous to the Town. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids without the consent of the Town for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled time of closing bids.
