Town of Troy – Appointment of Town Administrator: At a special meeting of the Troy Town Board on November 14, 2023, the Town Board unanimously approved the appointment of Benjamin Jansen as the Town Administrator.  Mr. Jansen will assume his duties on December 4, 2023.  His appointment follows a national search conducted by Public Administration Associates. “I am very excited for the opportunity to be the next Town Administrator of Troy,” stated Jansen.  “Troy is a growing and vibrant community and I look forward to helping facilitate that process.” Since August 2019, Jansen has been employed by the City of Amery, WI.  He currently serves as the City Clerk/Treasurer/Assistant Administrator.  Previously, he was the Operation Manager for Second Harvest Heartland, Brooklyn Park, MN in 2018 – 2019. In addition to his Master of Public Administration degree from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN, he obtained a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls,  WI. According to Town Board Chairperson Doug Rowen, “The Troy Town Board looks forward to working with Mr. Jansen bringing his leadership and experience to the Town of Troy.  Initial priorities will include leading and streamlining zoning administration, optimizing Town staffing and operational teams, and working with the community to optimize growth while maintaining Troy’s rural charachter, regional outdoor recreational capabilities, and comfortable residential neighborhoods.”

St. Croix County Tree Sale

St. Croix County Community Development is dedicated to protecting and preserving our beautiful natural resources. By offering our annual tree and plant sale we are encouraging our citizens to add to the landscape of St. Croix County in a positive way.

Compost bins, trees and shrubs will be ready for pick up in Spring. Prairie plants, woodland plants, mesic-wet plants, and butterfly gardens will be available for pick-up in early June. You will be notified via email as those dates get closer. There are no shipping options.

Fruit trees are typically 4-6′ (feet) in height and evergreens and deciduous trees are typically 7-24″ (inches) at the time of distribution in Spring. Plants are sold in flats and will be available to pick up in early June.
